Then select and copy the code shown below your choice. Now edit your site's html and 'paste' the selected code where you want the catechism to appear. Save your html and reload your site's page to see the widget.

All three versions show the same questions and answers. With the smallest widget, more of the answers must be split across multiple segments, but the whole answer will show. Your site visitors can interact directly with the widget, from within your web page, with the 'Next' 'Prev' 'Random' and 'First' links.

Baptist Catechism

Dear Mark

Great Work on the widget. I had not appreciated that it was the 1813 Charleston catechism, so the clarification is good to have.

How easy would it be to create a widget for some other great baptist catechisms - e.g. Keach's, Spurgeon's etc.? I am more than happy to help with creating these!

Other Baptist Catechisms

Yes, there are many baptist versions. A friend suggested the Charleston, so I started with that. For others, If the format is simple Q/A like the Charleston, it's pretty simple - about an hour. If you send me (use Contact page on this site) the text in this format - or send a link, it will help:

"Q1. Who is the first and chiefest being?",
"God is the first and chiefest being.",

"Q2. Ought every one to believe there is a God?",
"Everyone ought to believe there is a God; and it is their great sin and folly who do not.",

"Q3. How may we know there is a God?",
"The light of nature in man and the works of God plainly declare there is a God; but his word and Spirit only do it fully and effectually for the salvation of sinners.",
