Dad and I played golf at Augusta Pines golfcourse near Houston. This is the site of the annual Administaff Small Business Classic tournament on the PGA Champions Tour. Last year we worked on the Golf Channel team during the tournament and were given free vouchers to play the course. This was my first time to play on a course that hosted a PGA event. The Lord gave us good weather and an uncrowded course in beautiful condition.
1st green - I had par here to get off to a good start
Putting for bogey on #2 - missed it. This hole is modeled on famed #13 at Augusta National.
Dad and I both hit good drives in the fairway on #4
Drive from the tee on #6 or #7, I forget.
Tee shot on #9 a picturesque par , I believe modeled on Augusta National #16. My tee shot was over the water but short of the green. I was satisfied with bogey here.

Dad hit a good tee shot here - #13 I believe
18th hole, par 5 with water along the right and an island green. Dad before impact....
... and after impact. He ended up in the right rough, safely out of the water
My tee shot, I landed in the fairway near the bunkers on the left
after a decent 2nd shot, I had 100 yards to the island green. Landed on the green about 20 feet away. 2 putted for par - only the 3rd par of the day but a good way to end a wonderful day
Dad's blasts safely out of the greenside bunker.
A great day. Praise the Lord for a healthy father who lives near enough to share days like this now and then.
