Discussion of how to educate a 6th grader. Issues include the transition from a child’s mind to a young adult, the learning environment, timeframes, choosing resources, and changing curriculum midstream. Includes lists of resources required, a general strategy for each subject, and a two months sample of the detailed daily lesson plan and schedule that we implemented with our kids. Our hope is that these details are sufficient for any parent to teach their 6th grader with 20 minutes of daily interaction. While more daily interaction is helpful when possible, this plan shows how a busy father can give his child an excellent education spending about 20 minutes five days a week.
